Default muffler silencers

do muffler silencers work ,I've got two exhaust tickets recently and I dont want to invest money on a silencer if it's not going to help.if it will help I have a ractive muffler and it didnt come with one do the make universal ones , if so where is the best place to get one

OEM exhausts are good silencers

They do work to an extent. It depends on your loca dB laws. If you have a ricey muffler to begin with it probably wont quiet it down to not noticeable levels.

If I have to get a new one what should I get that dosent have a lot of sound to get me pulled over but a little sound when i get in to it
some one said magnaflow any suggestions

if u really worried about tickets and dont want oem...apexi world sport would be your nxt best bet

the silencers do work "bought mine off Ebay" but they make your car sound like it"s farting Lol..
magnaflo is good as well as flowmaster ..

i bought the apexi silencer for my greddy evo2. drilled a hole in the tip and works fine now.

i own a muffler and performance shop in houston. i can gladly help you with that... A silencer does help.. bad thing is sound really ugly when you race your car

still pretty loud, not as quiet as Apexi or RSR

theres a muffler shop down here trying to sell me a big max turbo muffler. has anyone heard of this exhaust. they said it has some sound to it but its not that lound. buy and install for $55. only thing is it looks stock. do u this this would be a good exhaust

a turbo muffler is more likely going to be straight thru design which is what i have (mines a twin loop straight thru)

unless of course, it's just the name. idk, 55 bucks wouldnt seem like the muffler would have a big canister and that is what you are looking for such as RSR and Remus exhaust.
