I am looking for a new motor for a 98 Accord (5 Speed)...wondering, is it possible to put a V6 motor in there?

if you have a 4 cyl it will cost a lot of money to fit in a V6. an H22 would be easier to swap over.

you would have to swap almost everything else found in the v6 to the i4

Thats includes putting in a Auto tranny for the V6.

Well thats not happening!...I have a 5 speed, and I refuse to go back to an automatic!...I guess, I just keep the same engine and save until I can get something built faster...

Like Skabone said, look at the H22.

cost is the main complication. if you want your car to pass OBDII emmission testing you have to get a 97-01 H22, but if you don't have to worry about the scan you can get an older H22, but you'll have to convert to OBDI. your going to also have to modify the motor mounts, and the wiring is going to be an issue. I was quoted $6000 for a swap including the motor from a local shop. I'd consider it if it were $4000, but thats too rich for my blood. It would be a ton cheaper if I had the tools to do the swap already, but oh well.
