Odometer stopped
Hey guys,
Just got my hands on a 95 V6 Accord about a month ago. It has a 97 engine in it though. Just the other day the odometer STOPPED dead. Everything else works, speedometer, temp and fuel gauge. The Tach gauge jumps around for the first 15 mins that I drive the car and then works fine. I searched around and couldn't find any threads describing the problem I'm having. For most people, if the odometer stops working, so does everything else. In my case it's just the odometer and the Tach gauge might be going soon too. Any thoughts on this?

u can take apart the gauge cluster and take like a small sewing needle and give the odometer a little help. then try driving around it should work fine. sometimes they get jammed or stuck and cant roll over. keep in mind this is one thing in ur car thats working all the time u drive. so they're bound to get jammed once in a while. happened to me many times before i bought my jdm gauge cluster. if ur speedometer isnt working at all either then you need to change the whole speedometer. as far as the tach its kinda wierd but i have extra rpm gauge tachs around. let me know if u want it. they all work. only thing i dont have is the speedometer odometer part. used em all trying to get my jdm assembly to work. let me know.

not always only on the V6 because on that model the tach is feed by the coil on others it's feed by the ignitor in the dizzy.
speedometer/odometer= speed sensor not always the case if one or the other is working it's most likely the speedo ,the 5th gen speedsensor is pretty trouble free I still haven't replaced one yet...but on the 4th gen 99.9% it's the speedsensor as the CEL and flashing D4 or S light is a giveaway.
