Default Potential problems with Honda/Acura transmissions

There was an article in the LA Times about the Acura TL/CL transmissions failling on people and it also metioned that 2000 and up Accords with the V6 and the 4 speed auto are also potetial hazards waiting to happen. Has anyone heard of this stuff to be a problem?

Is it because the transmissions can't handle the amount of torque from the engines, or is it a transmission issue? I'm worried because I'm sure that the trasmissions used in cars for MY 2000 and up are the same ones used in the 98-99 model year.

Sh!t, if that's the case, I better not visit the upper parts of the rev band too often. How long is our Powertrain Warranty anyway? And does this also apply to the 4 cyl cars as well?

My trannies blew at 17k, 39k, and 54k.
My car is two years old.
I too am on my third tranny.
With enough complaining honda has picked up the bill on all of my cars tranny work. I was really tough on my first tranny (manual shifting, etc.). Thinking that I learned my lesson, I was dramatically easier with my 2nd tranny. It failed anyway. Now I'm on my third tranny. It will most likely fail too. If so then I'm gonna get rid of it and get a new manual accord.
