i know a guy with the exact same car and he's won quite a few car shows with his...now, can this car have any chance in the racing world. and i'm not talking about the big leagues i'm just talking about going up against some almost stock mustangs and eclipses and such. i know mustangs come stock with v6s or v8s and eclipses have turbos and what not but racers around here aren't all that hot either. and in my city there isn't too much variety or too many newer models. a lot of people have 2000's and under. not too sure about this car, help me out

if u turbo the I4 Accord, u can beat the V6 Mustangs & Camaros/Firebirds; but not the V8s

 

That's a negative. I have a 2.3 L (before turbocharged) 2001 accord and I've raced with about 7-10 Mustangs since it was stock and I took all of them out (with one exceptional of the Cobra GT V8). But now it is turbocharged with a T3/t4 Hybrid Greddy Turbo and i'm running 8lb of boost making 236WHP at 5000rpm.

 

yeah but how heavily modded were you? i'm curious to know...and i'm assuming manual?

 

My lightly moded 00 LX 5spd (CAI, headders, ect.) has easily taken Mustangs (not the V8) and Eclipses.

 

i'm curious to know is there something about the manual of accords that give it a special umph?

 

No, i drive an Automatic and it's 150WHP stock.
