98' Accord LX w/SOHC VTEC 2.3L....any good?
i know a guy with the exact same car and he's won quite a few car shows with his...now, can this car have any chance in the racing world. and i'm not talking about the big leagues i'm just talking about going up against some almost stock mustangs and eclipses and such. i know mustangs come stock with v6s or v8s and eclipses have turbos and what not but racers around here aren't all that hot either. not too sure about this car, help me out

Well, it depends upon what type of car he's running with. Remember, it's a 4cyl 150hp (148hpULEV) SOHC motor. Not a lot of power but decent. Especially if you have a manual trans (like me ) If stock, it's best to run with cars in your own class to prevent embarassment. ie: Nissan altima, Camry, Saturn, Mazda 626, or the Audi A4-98-00. Or basically any 4cyl car without force induction. Now, there are NA cars with good power ie Sentra SER & Spec-V. There aren't too many current model V6 cars that the Accord can take stock. It really depends upon what type of mods he has but I can tell you now, the Accords main downfalls are 1)low torque 2)the tranny and 3)weight
