I don't need adjustability. Im all about show, not go. I don't need my car to be able to pull g's around hair pin turns. I just want some shocks that will perform better than my who-knows-how-old stock ones with the mild drop. Maybe I should get some tokico blues, they don't cost too much.

Since you bring up HS, I'll do the same:

I spoke to a KYB rep and was told that as long as the drop wasn't over 1 1/2" any of their shocks would work fine and still be warranteed. Given that the AGX's are void of warranty if the drop is over 1 1/2", what makes you think those are for lowering? If any of these shocks were meant for lowering purposes, they would all be covered under the warranty if it was a 1/2" drop or 3". I know some people are able to get warranty replacements, but its usually when either that person or the dude at the shop lies and says they were on a car that wasn't dropped 2 1/2" cause if the manufacturer knew that, the shock(s) wouldn't get replaced by the manufacturer unless you paid for em.

I'm going to call some local shops to get some more info and hopefully some prices on some shocks that aren't overkill, but will perform w/my setup.

Well, I just got off the phone with a few local speed shops here in Sacramento. I hate dealing with these guys, they all tried to sell me full coilovers or at the least, adjustable shocks. The only shop that didn't try to sell me anything is Sacramento Motoring Accessories. This just happened to be the place that I had gotten all my mods done to my "SaucyCivic" when I had it. I didn't tell them who I was, I just told them what car I have, what springs I have, what I want and need out of my suspension setup. Im not going to be out there autocrossing so adjustables are thrown out, I just want some shocks that will match up with the sports and keep as much of my stock ride quality as possible. He recommended Tokico blues and GR-2's. I mentioned that I could get the GR-2's for $166 shipped and he said that was way better than what he could do price wise and that they would be a good choice both for cost reasons and also because if they blow, as long as there have been no mods or things like vice grip marks on the shock rod(the part that goes in and out of the shock body) that they can and will be covered under the KYB warranty. He said he put them on a car w/a 4" drop and one blew out and he had no problem swapping it under warranty. When I get my GR-2's, I'll give you guys my honest opinion on them. I've ridden on everything from cut coils, to coilovers, to springs/stock shocks, to H&R Race coils/Tokicos, to Yellows/Eibach, I know you guys mean well, but unless you've had em, I don't really think you can give a good/fair opinion on them.

To me that was too bouncy especially at the drop I was riding on. I wanted something firmer and a bit harder even if it means harsher ride quality. I don't mind a stiff suspension. I love the F1 suspension feel of my Accord. My car is a daily driver and I don't autocross or do anything of that nature. But I still am glad I have the option of adjustability. On my AGX I can even adjust it to perform and feel like GR2.
I know having adjustable shocks doesn't mean you have to autocross. Anyways, it sounds like you did have these shocks, if so, what drop did you have? All I know is that the kyb's are dual tube gas shocks, the oem shocks are single tube hydraulic shocks. With exception of the adjustability and looks, the GR-2 and AGX are made with the same features and components so they can't be too bad. If im wrong, I'll own up to it, but I think I'll be alright. If I can ride Tokico blues on H&R race coils w/no problems, I should be ok on Neuspeed sports and GR-2's, but I have to paint the springs, I can't roll around on green springs w/a red car, that would look like:booty:

Oh, I guess you can't see em huh h: When I had my "SaucyCivic" you could see em, good thing they were red to match my car. I did have 17's w/40 series rubber too. If they can't be seen then I won't trip.
