Default Have anyone pulled a trailer?

Have anyone pulled a small utility trailer with 7gen Accord? Mine is LX, 4 cylinder, AT. According to the manual, the tongue weight must be less than 100 lbs and the weight must be less than 1000 lbs. The strange thing is, it does not differentiate between 4 cyl vs 6 cyl, or MT vs AT.

I wonder if it's even realistic to try this...

By the way, I'm in Florida so there are no hills or mountains, but the temperature can reach 95F during summer.

Anyone?

If that's what the manual says... THEN....

I definately wouldn't imagine trying to pull more than 1K lbs with an accord.

i towed a U-haul cross country, from Indiana to So Cal, with my 99 accord 4 cyclinder... the car and U-haul was packed to the max, and my car handled it well.... but maybe it's becos i have 5 spd... anyways, u should called a local U-haul and they'll tell u which trailer is appropriate for ur car

the weights are dependant on the hitch assembly and what the frame of the vehicle can safely handle... the motor can pull the weight without a doubt, just dont try to take off fast as that will start wearing things in the transmission.

The weights given in the manual are very conservative to help protect Honda, if you go over the weight and damage something on the car, forget about your warranty.
