I have 2005 LX Sedan Auto (Accord). I have side airbags and cloth seats.

Is there any way (thru dealer) to install leather on existing seats. I know some shops can creat leader covers but I wanted "factory look" - if possible

I knew I should have taken the leather but.....

 

i doubt the dealer will do it.. theyll make you buy everything oem at outrageous prices.

im sure you might be able to order leather covers, or they might tell you to contact the place they use. or check katzkin.

 

the seats and the side panels

 

the honda dealership that i used to work at used katzkin. we would have people come in and we would sell them on the idea of (leatherizin) a civic, accord,....so on... i would check out the dealer first.

 

check around..I know it can be done and the dealers usually have someone they use for situations like this...just go and ask...

What is Katzkin?

 

Katzin is a company who makes leather upholstery for the cars.
There are alot of threads about it, They are for 6th gen though but the idea is the same. You can get leather seats of just get some leather covers.

I did the OEM leather swap on my 99...got factory seats out of a 2002 EX V6, swapped the front and rear seats, armrest, and then got door panels a bit later. I got lucky, found stuff that was basically mint...did everything for about $350...after selling some of the switches and "wood" trim peices that came with the door panels. For $350 it was worth it to me...I got all my stuff off Ebay. I'd just keep your eyes open...ebay will be cheaper than any salvage yard I'm sure, but who knows.
