Default The way it shifts.....

I've got an '02 Accord V6 auto. It's actually my wifes car but I get to drive it if I'm good.

It's a great car, runs awesome, and shifts ok. There's nothing "wrong" with the way it shifts, I just don't like one particular situation.

Coming into a corner, say a green light, and I'm going to turn right making a 90deg turn. When I get back on the gas as I'm driving through the corner, that's when the car decides to downshift. From either 3 or 2 to first. What the F#%*? Why isn't it smart enough to downshift as I'm coming into the corner? I want sportier shifting damn it!

Are there any mods to improve shifting performance/sportiness? Chip? Flash? This "problem" makes the car feel kind of :ghey:

its actually normal, according to the way you describe it, I assume its automatic, so basically theres nothing you can do to fix this, either don't drive it no more or stick with what you have. sorry dude, thats why manual is so much better, cause you can shift whenever you decide is the right time.

manually drop it down a gear when you are coming into the corner. Not much else you can do about it.

That's what I was gonna recommend.
Other than that, nothing you can really do.
Remember when you press the gas to a certain level, the trans will shift to a lower gear. That's what happened when you came out of the turn.
Going into the turn, you were on the brakes and had to slow the car down, thus, no need to downshift.
The only other thing I can think of is if you modified your suspension so you'll be able to take turns faster and more aggressively
