There are no ecu upgrades for the 6th gen 4cyl?

there are very few ecu upgrades for accords in general, and even less for 96 and newer ones. it is likely that the best you can do POSSIBLY is send your ecu off to JET

they "optimize spark and fuel tuning"
basically advance timing and lean it out for more power, possibly increase redline slightly, and remove speedlimiters.

depends on the ecu and teh engine, mods and the actual program. on a stock or near stock engine they are a waste of money though.

Don't send it to JET.. they suck... someone sent their ECU to jet... the modified ECU on the dyno put out LESS power than stock!
