6th Gen Front bumper Mod Question

Ok, so I am in the middle of the bumper mod. I purchased the 01-02 coupe front bumper. Installed it on my 99 accord sedan. I now see the ugly, infamous gap that some of you have referred to. My question is this:can I use a 98-02 coupe hood or strictly an 01-02 coupe hood?
