Ok heres the deal, I bought my car with some black projector headlights but I want to put some yellow luminics or buy some yellow foglights, which one would be better? and are yellow luminics a big problem with cops?

yellow headlights are legal in cali. i got nokya golden yellow jdm style bulbs and they hella yellow, and ive been pulled over like 5 times for them and they ARE LEGAL. 5 0 always let me go and said that they are legal.

 

I wouldn't think that yellow lights would be a problem with cops. I think only red nd blue lights are illegal. But California seems to be pretty strict, so I guess you would have to check your local laws.

also they say its legal because some cars come with stock fog lights that are yellow, some lexus for example. if ur still not sure to get them then just ask a cop and they will scan for it in their computer database of vehicle moddifications and theyll tell you. trust me, i work for the state DOJ and i have a list of everything on my car and that its legal.

 

thanks guys, really appreciated, although I'm still thinking about it since accordsir86 said he got pulled over 5 times, I'm worried cause I don't have a license and don't want to get my car impounded.

 

in that case you shouldnt get them untill you get your license, the first time i got pulled over, the first cop said he was surprised that they come up as legal, then he just walked around my car to cite me for something since he already had me pulled over and gave me a fix-it-ticket for no front license plate. all the other officers told me iam pulled over for my headlights and i tell them they legal, then they say sit tight while i check it out, then they came back and said i can go. good luck in making a decision.
