Default Helicopter Noise

Well, I am a new owner of an Accord 05. Currently, my ride is only at 7800KM but I am getting what Honda calls Helicopter noise from my PCV value. I have gone back to the dealer and request for some assistance. My dealer change the PCV value but the new value is making a louder noise. As according to the Service Adviser is unusual loud but this is normal as per Honda.
I am wondering is there anything else I can do to stop the noise because is driving my crazy.

Thank You for All Your Advises.

I've never heard of this kind of noise before. You say it sounds like a hilicopter? :eh:

Hopefully the dealer can help, but you may just have to get a second opinion.

Well, is not a helicopter noise..is a ticking noise coming for the value. Honda call it the "Helicopter Noise" as per their news letter. Is more get to do with PCV Value that's making the noise. I have no idea what to do because dealer keeps saying they can change the value again but the noise might still be there and there arent any PCV value that doesnt make the sound.
So any advise is good for me.

Thanks

the dealer will tell you anything is "normal" just so they dont have to work on your car. If you can, find a local mechanic, possibly a honda specialist and ask their opinion... you can have them put it in writing and then take that to the dealer.

Well i just checked Honda's system and i can't find any service news's about a clicking or anything related to the PCV on an 05. If the noise is under the hood and you can only hear it when the car is idling who care's. What about the injectors clicking will that be a problem for you next. PCV click when the engine is running and thats just a fact of life so i say just live with it.

if you can hear it in your car its obviously too loud.
I would say have it changed again, then if noise is still there go get an after market PCV valve and try that. (but do not let the dealer know you tampered around) if the after market one solves your problem then cool, if not i guess you will just get used to it.

it cant be any wores than the 4th gen squeaky clutch

Thanks for all the great advises.
I will bring it back to the dealer one more time and request to have to it change again. My dealer told that Accord 03-05 uses the same engine which 03 Accord's noise has been reported.
The bad thing about this noise is very loud while I am accerlating. I can hear the click sound over my cd volume level 6 so which is still kinda loud over all.

I think I know the sound your talking about. I consider it a normal 4 cylinder engine noise. Comming from a Toyota Tercel, then a '03 Corolla to my '04 Accord, it's been a steady improvement. YOu want to hear valve noise... listen to my Kawasaki 900cc Inline 4 on my motorcycle. The cam chain tensionser and the stiff valves springs which allow a 12,000 RPM redline make a heck of a racket.

Suprisingly I though the new '06 Civic was a little quieter, but it also has a smaller SOHC engine which has a slightly less mechanicals.
