95 Accord fuel filter replacement- Impossible!!!
Yeah, I know, another fuel filter thread. But after looking at it, reading the Haynes manual three times, looking at it some more, buying a $25 Baldwin fuel filter today, and trying it, I proclaim this is an impossible job for the shadetree mechanic in his garage.
Evidently, you must have to have a lift so that you can have complete, unrestricted access underneath the car, with no jack or jackstands in the way.
I read the thread about this job this morning, yesterday and the day before. A "special" tool must be neccessary, but is not mentioned in the service manual. The poster that described this as an "Easy Job" in the other post DID NOT do a very good job of describing exactly what the special tool is.
Is a crow's foot wrench needed or a what? What size?
I wish that if you are gonna post about something, say it is easy with this tool, please list some more specific information like exactly what size is needed.
This is my first disappointment with Honda. This is absolutely ridiculous to have to go through this kind of crap to replace something like this.
On my Chevrolet truck this is a very, very easy 10 minute job.

yea, this is the first car ive seen where the fuel filter is so damn difficult. My brothers civic its right in your face on the top of the firewall. Even the 5th gen V6 accords have it right at the top of the firewall.
I'm attempting mine tomorrow while I have the car all torn apart (tranny replacement) and i'll post some comments in the PM.
