Default what do you prefer?

I need some opinions based on past experience or knowledge please. an help appreciated. what kinda shocks do u prefer Koni, Tokico, or KYB? i just bought some H&R springs that i might put in this weekend and iam getting good offers on the shocks brands above. i heard KYB is cheapest cost ways but with shocks price isnt a factor for me, iam looking for quality. i was thinking also Tein but thats a rare find and i cant wait that long so scratch that.

I have Koni adjustables with H&R sports and I'd recommend the Koni's. I haven't ever had any of the others so I can't comment on those.

For how long have you had them on cause everyone keep saying that the stock shocks wont last long on Aftermarket shocks plus I've heard that the car's value goes down if you do something to the suspension.

You can do a mild drop on the stock shocks for quite a while and not have any problems, esp if the shocks are somewhat new. I had H&R sports on my car with my stock shocks from about miles 30K-55K or so, never had a problem, stock shocks never blew. For the last 35K or so I've been on Koni adjustables which are awesome, they just keep the ride a bit more dampened than the stock shocks. At full soft, they are still a bit stiffer than the stock shocks, but a very small difference, but a nice difference in how the car is dampened.

As far as modding the suspension and value...that's how it is with any mod. Mod's won't increase the resale and usually will hurt it because is a very small group out there that would actually want a modified car.

That's why people usually return the car back to stock, and sell the mods separate, more money out of it that way.

Lowering a car with stiffer springs probably will put a bit more stress on the other factory suspension components, but this is in proportion to your drop, and how stiff the springs are.

After 90K miles (60K or so being lowered) the only problem I had was a blown upper front ball joint....maybe or may not have been precipitated by my suspension mods.

suspension mods.
Hey thanks alot for all that information, I dont know if you remember it or not but in one of my posts about Wheel size I was realy against lowering the car, well that was my main concern. I just dont want to spend a G on it now.
If the stock shocks lasts me about 50k with the springs then I'd just do the springs.
Just another advice from you, Iam willing to buy TEIN H-Tech , do you think its ok to do that over stock shocks. Thanks
