Default Crazy power accordness

The other day when I was on the ramp getting on the highway in my 94 Accord EX, Automatic. (It was raining) I was acelerating and was at about 50mph in second when all of the sudden at about 4k it hit this crazy powerband when to about 6k (gradually but pretty damn fast) and took off. It turned the tires and I was going about 85 in like 2 seconds!!! How did my car do this? It felt way more powerful then it has ever before and I push this car all of the time, I have had it for 3 years

someone snuck into your car and installed nitrous oxide.

...or you hit a puddle, lost grip with your tires and caused them to spin which gave you an inaccurate speedometer reading due to the fact that the tires were spinning faster than the car was actually going.

lol... the powerband is located in the 5k range... have you ever actually pushed your car into that rpm range, or was that your first time?

The air temp and humidity levels were perfect for the car to get some good power? lol

Were you high? Maybe it was just in your head.

LOL:lmao:
I definitly don't think I hit a puddle, but the tires were spinning. I have had my car in the 6.7rpm range so it wasn't my first time. Yeah maybe someone snuck in and put in nitrous. lol

uhh.......well consider the ground being wet and while the wheels are spinning it loses traction. Eventually it will catch some traction and kinda throw you back into your seat as if you experienced this power surge.

Its been happening to me since thursday. Its been raining up here.

Solution: Buy better tires

My old Goodyear F1 GS-D3's and Dunlop SP9000s would struggle to break loose in the wet from a stop...they'd hop and hop and hop then finally gain traction and GO. My current Tripletreds aren't quite that good but I can't imagine myself losing traction in the wet above 20 MPH unless it was a huge puddle.
