I've seen alot of 6th gen accord coupes with those TYC taillights...went searching through the forums for a DYI but i came up emty handed...anyone got any suggestions or have an actual write up before i start to rip things out? Thanks yall

 

It's easy, all you do is open your trunk, unscrew the long bolts for the middle piece that's on the trunk lid. Then pull back some of the carpeting in the corners and do the same for the two corner lights and don't forget to unplug the lights. Everything should just come right out.

 

its real easy to do, but I'd save your money for a more worth while mod. I think the 6th gen coupe tails look the best.

 

What are TYC taillights? I wont say what I think they probably are

 

they are not altezzas, TYC makes quality aftermarket lighting. their headlights for the 6th gen accord are pretty slick, but personally don't car for the tail lights they make for the 6th gen coupe and sedan.

 

Well I assumed they weren't altezzas and were rather some other aftermarket lighting system. Just have no idea what they are or look like.

Do a search, they're like styled up versions of the 6th gen stock tails. I won't call them rice but I think they're a bit overdone and don't fit with the car...I like my NSXish taillights thanks.

infact, it's not even a DIY, it's just "installing" that you are doing it by yourself instead of paying the shop to do it for you...

6th gen tails look good imo, no need to change.i like my red top and and clear on bottom, kinda like jdm ish[02 models]..
