Default evac leak

i just got this accord and like a week after i got it the check engine light came on. i just got the whole timing package replaced and my mechanic said i needed a "evaporative bypass solenoid valve and canister with hardware. does anywone know where this is located or where i can get a new one?? thx...

What is it? A 1979 Accord? You'll have trouble finding parts. A 2006 Accord? Use the warranty.

Or maybe tell us what it is...

Most of the EVAP system is located roughly underneath the left-rear seat. There's the EVAP canister & a few solenoid valves & a filter. But there's a vacuum line up to the engine & the EVAP purge valve at the intake manifold. If your car showed a P1457 error code, here's some stuff that should be checked out. (It's good for '98 & '99 4-cyl Accords.)

I've never heard of an evap "BYPASS" valve, but he's probably talking about something in this system.

Most of that stuff is dealer-only parts, but you can check mailorder-discount dealers like manhonda.com or hondaautomotiveparts.com or hondaparts247.com...
