I heard the work required to install the SS tranny into a 5th Gen aren't even worth it.

 

yea the 5th gen SS trans are prone to problems...I heard it's caused by the torque converter going bad ,clogging the internal screen and burning out the trans ..but the one I have has only 6k on it going to put a inline filter to help it out , yes theres alot of wireing that has to be done but since I live in cali. in order to smog the car here have to be the same year or newer ...so I am forced to a 5th gen SS trans.

 

Well, good luck with that. I'm still trying to figure out whether to swap or turbo the F.
