Default im wondering if

ok this is kind of a stupid thread that will probably get moved or something but, im wondering if when the '06 accords come out, if one will be able to turn their 03-05 accords into an 06. the trunk of the 06 has a little lip now. and the rear tail lights also have this lip. so im wondering if one will be able to change out their trunk and tail lights to make it look like an 06. also i wonder if you can put the 06 front bumper on the 03-05. besides that, what is everyones opinion on the new 06?

You could do it, just comes down to how many parts you have to change.

I could see doing something like the front bumper, but only if you got in a wreck with your current one or something like that.

I don't see why you couldn't swap out the front bumper and grille relatively easy... and of course the rims. But the rear-end, that would be an extensive job, as the rear quarter panels are different. Afterwards, the trunk lid and rear bumper would have to be swapped out, and the taillights/reverse lights re-wired. I personally wouldn't tamper with a brand new car like that, unless, as someone stated above, the car were to get into an accident.

Everything in the interior can be swapped over to the 03-05, such as the new guage cluster (even though personally, I like the 03-05 guage cluster better)

if you got the cash and time, i say go for it. the new coupe's back looks really nice. owning a sedan, i would love to replace my front bumper, but being in college and gas at the price it is, i have no extra cash to throw around. However, to change the rear, i figured it would cost a lot more than the front considering each taillight is almost 200, trunk, led bulbs, and probably other parts. the front seems easier, just bumper and grill.

oops, didn't realize you were referring to the coupes only. In that case, you'd probably only have to change the trunk-lid and tail lights. Rear quarter panels are the same, and the rear bumper looks to be the same also. Also, the front hasn't changed that much (Or, at least not enough to justify a swap) except for the grille, which looks as though you might have to replace the front bumper to make fit. Eh, I like the front of the 03-05 coupe better, as well as the rear.

there is not much of a difference for the front bumper and grill for the coupe, but there is a big difference for the sedan. the new ones have the fog light inserts while the old one requires cutting the bumper for the fog lights. Also, the grill is wider, but i would prefer an aftermarket grill than the original grill.
