Default Mobil 1 or Amsoil 5W-20 Oil Change.

Hi,

I have 4 cyl 2005 Accord LX Auto.

I drive about 2,000 to 2,500 miles per month. So far, I have been changing my oil and filter every 3,000 miles. I only use synthetic Mobil 1 or Amsoil 5W-20.

I changed my ATF fluid (drain and fill) at 10,000 miles (few days ago).

Most of the miles are highway miles (80%).

Is changing synthetic oil at 3,000 k too early? Should I "extend" the interval to 4,000 or 5,000 miles. Obviously, I need this car to last so I want to take very good care of it, but maybe in all honesty I am exaggerating with my oil changes?

Any opinions?

I guess you would know. Wipe your mouth though...it looks funny.
