Gas Mileage
I have a 94 Accord EX Automatic 4cyl sedan
, first off I'm not sure what the exact gas mileage is, I haven't tested it nor do i know what it was advertised for originally, so if anyone knows that would be great, but right now it seems like I am getting really crappy gas mileage, I have an intake and a axel back exhaust installed. Does anyone know what might be causing this bad gas mileage issue? Thanks, Ian

Not real sure about hwy anymore, used to be about 35 mpg but measured city last week and it was 25.58. This is on a 95 Accord LX with 130K on the plugs, cap, rotor, etc., only the oil has been changed (air filter once too). Probably should check the air filter again.
I probably get somewhere in the neighborhood of mid-20's city and 29-30 mpg on highway in my 95 Accord EX 4 cyl.
If you have an intake, make sure to clean the filter regularly dependent upon your driving conditions. I have an AEM CAI on mine; and I cleaned it this weekend. It was clogged and way too dirty. I'm sure my gas mileage probably just improved doing that!

I bought a 95 EX 4cyl 5 spd last week and drove it home 135 miles. Filled up before I left and filled up when I got home.
143 miles at 4.3 gallons. 33 mpg. Not bad, considering:
Oil needed changing
Looks like original plugs
Air filter needed changing
Fuel filter needs changing
Fuel injectors need cleaning
133K miles and runs good.

Yes, you are correct, the "branded" fuels (Chevron, Texaco, Shell, etc.) do get dumped with additives that help keep the rail and injectors cleaner than 10-20 years ago.
With that said, I don't "get them cleaned", but do add a bottle of cleaner in every now and then. Well, really, I'll buy three bottles at a time and try to remember to dump one in about every month or so, over a period of 3 months. I try to do this about once a year.
The engine in this car looks "dirty" internally, so I changed the oil as soon as I got it home and dumped in some Marvel Mystery Oil. I'm gonna run it for about 1k miles and change it again. The oil looked dirty after just 50 miles.
But this car runs great. A little $ and work to get it where I want it and it will be a great work, school and loafering car. Especially since they just changed the signs today to $3.099.
