Serisouly though, rubbing alcohol or acitone is the active ingredient in nail polish remover. I can't imagine putting that on my paint.

hey e3, i used it and the clear coat is just fine. I got that recommendation from the Infinity dealer,

just use soapy water and the "spongy" part of a sponge, not the "scrubby" part, to slow scrub and rub off the extra sticky shit, i cant imagine using nail polish remover or a damn steel wool!, that shit will ruin ur paint!!

Acetone and alcohol are very different compounds. I don't think ethanol will really hurt your paint if you just use it to wipe off some adhesive. Acetone, I wouldn't try.

Steel wool was a someone's joke btw.

Alcohol won't hurt.

Acetone will eventually break down your clearcoat and makes it much easier to scratch.
