Default Question for my friend.

I have a friend who wants to get a pair of annoying-ass-loud-mufflers for his v6 Accord. If um, my friend got some cannon mufflers (just mufflers, not a total exhaust system) could he bolt them on? Or is there welding involved. (he wants to be able to switch back to stock mufflers after he gets the rice out of his system.)

It depends if he gets mufflers specifically for that car on universal mufflers.
If they're for his car, they should bolt on. Just remove the Axle back mufflers and install the new ones
If they're universal, they have to be welded and custom hangers have to be made

Default *snort*

That comptech isn't cheap. *blink*
Let me rephrase that question then. Are there any *cheapish* bolt-on mufflers for the Accord that anyone would reccomend?

Well it's civil enough but still sounds like a fart machine IMO. My buddy would call me on the cell while driving, I couldn't hlep but laugh, you'd hear it like none other. I took my dad to a the ALMS race at Mid-ohio, he heard my buddies car and wanted to know if I was going to weed eater my TSX, umm not right now...

It just sounds aweful on a near $30k car, it got much better with the tip inserts.

What ever HP gains you see are completely overshadowed by the sound IMO. No thanks stock for me, please.
