If I recall Honda has a TSB for the rear endlinks, you can get a new pair from your dealer.

Technical Service Bulletin. Honda now has a new pair of rear endlinks sold a kit to replace the rear endlinks in Accords that have had this failure. I don't recall the no. for the TSB but it lists the new kit no. Your Honda dealer should know the no. Simply purchase this kit and replace your endlinks.

Where do we get the trick honda tool no.

Honda also sells a ball joint boot replacement tool.
could we just get some Honda ball joint boots and replace the SPC boot with a Honda boot?

I've heard it doesn't fit...but then again I've never tried.

Is that part no out of the Helms? I dunno...I got my similar one at Napa for $20. It doesn't have two threaded portions like the Honda one, only one fixed hinge, and the screw portion...so it's not quite as adjustable, but mine has worked on everything I've tried it on.

yeah I found a kit for the Napa one it was like $19?
I wonder what the Honda one runs, I had to assume it wasn't a Honda only tool, but the more I look the more it may be.

I'll see if I can pick one up at the dealer if not, I get the Napa tool.

The other question is, can we press out the SPC ball joint and press in a new one maybe somebody elses ball joint?

All this may be in vein as I may still go back to stock and install the Ingals kit yet.

Honda also sells a tie-rod ball joint too, I wonder if that would work. I may take the SPC arms with me to the dealer and have a looky. If I swap out the arms maybe I could repair the old ones.

I stopped by my Honda dealer to price the Honda ball joint tool.
07MAC-SL00200 they quoted me $233!!!!

I about threw a fit, I told the service guy, it would be cheaper to cut the tie-rods and ball joints off with a saws-all and buy new ones then to remove the units safely with his tool.

Napa for $20 tool here I come. I was more then willing to pay ~$100 for the tool but $233!!!!

What a joke Yep, just get a Napa or similar one. Just a heads up...the first napa didn't have it...had to go to the bigger one where all the shipping is done, etc. So they might have to order it.

Thanks, from what I can tell only 2 such "lift type" ball joint tools exist.

The make you laugh$$$ Honda tool and the Napa tool, which is made by a company called Tool-Aid part no. TA-61900. I've still got one contact left in Ohio that works at a Honda dealer I'll see if he can hook me up for much less, else I'll purchase said other tool.

Tommorow I'm flushing the brake the system, I'll check all the joints for wear then. And decide if I'll even swap the new SPC kit in or go back to stock and install the Ingalls lower kits.

New ball joint boots can be had from Honda for $2.50 + another $3.90 for the retainer clip. The tool needed to installt he clips is $80 bucks, sigh.......I'll just buy a new kit then
