92 Accord power steering - help!
I am in the process of changing my power steering pump on my 1992 Honda Accord - 4 cylinder sedan automatic - and my car is shaking when in "drive".
Exactly what's happening is - I bought a replacement power steering pump and in the process of switching the old for the new, I stripped the nut/bolt when attempting to take the pully off (pump belt) the old pump and didn't realize the bolt was reverse threaded and therefore I stripped it. After an hour I was able to get the stripped bolt off (I won't go into details) so now I need to replace the nut which I have ordered through a Honda dealer.
I'm currently driving my car without the PSP. Why is my car shaking? The power steering pump is off. Is the lack of tension from the PSP belt causing this? Is it something different altogether?
The sound is like a thumping noise?
Any response is appreciated.
