Default 92 Accord Over Heating

I'm new here. I just got done installing a timing belt, balance shaft belt, all oil seals, and water pump on my 92 Accord. The cars runs great, and has 248k on it. The car never overheated before I installed the new timing belt, and waterpump. The problem now is that the system seems to be purging all the coolant into the overflow bottle. When it emptys all the coolant into the overflow bottle, the car begins to overheat badly. On the highway its fine. It almost sounds like the begining of a bad head gasket. I also have a 91 Legend, and did the same thing, and turned out to be a bad head gasket. There is no white smoke out the exhaust, and I just changed the thermostat twice. I have no clue what is wrong this thing. I think it will be going forsale shortly.

When you changed the thermostat did you put on a Honda OEM thermostat? I have heard about alot of problems when using a non Honda OEM thermostat even if its brand new.

Check the easy stuff first, just to rule it out. A bad radiator cap or leaky hose to the reservoir can cause that stuff.

Did you bleed the system? Coolant probably stayed at the radiator and never recirculates.
