my 6th gen EX sedan with a K24 TSX motor and tranny? im getting my auto swapped out for a 5 speed in a month or so...but this swap is very tempting

dunno if im gonna do it yet...if i do it wont be until next year cuz im buying an 06 EVO IX MR when they come out so im saving for the downpayment and parts for that right now. just want some opinions on what people think about a K24 powered 6 speed 6th gen accord

 

why not just buy the TSX?

 

don't you read? i'm buying an EVO. if i wanted a TSX i'd have one already.

 

I'd love to see you do that swap. do it if you can afford it, you'd most likely be the first 6th gen with that swap. or first that I'd see.

 

yeah, that's what i was thinking too. i haven't heard of anybody attempting this yet. if i wasn't buying the EVO i'd look into it now, but im going to wait till next year. hopefully the engines will be cheaper by then too.

 

It would be sweet...but everything is backwards on the K motors compared to the F. Might make things a bit tougher, but with enough $ it would be sweet. Cost effective? Questionable. Cool? Yes.

 

if it works in an EG6, it should work in a CG5 just as easily

 

That would be very cool...but you'd have to customize a ton of stuff I'd imagine. Try it
