its known as year end, as well as model yr close. People will buy due to the fact that they are going cheap.

If that's true, then why did Toyota say that the 2001 Accord beat it in sales because of their model changeover? Because they're whiny bastards and are full of ****, that's why. Or they suck at marketing. The Accord will sell even more in the end DUE to the model change.

Dont forget that Camrys large fleet sales as rentals, etc at volume discounts is a large reason they had the #1 spot in the first place. Honda doesn't give those discounts, but in retails sales, meaning sales to private owners, the Accord was #1 the whole time.
Thats marketing for you.

um...... becuase some people play it safe and wait a yr before buying a new model. And honda would have nothing over the camry if it still had the same engine/hp from the previous yr. Honda needed more HP to keep sales going, they would fail otherwise.

You Toyota propaganda is so evident in most of your posts, especially coming from a so-called "new" member.

As I said in the other thread in N&R, take away the discounts of fleet and corporate sales, the Accord is the number one selling car in retail chain direct to customers in the last 12 of 13 years. The Accord has been almost always a better value than the Camry, by price and features.
