Default Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred

Just wondering if anyone has used these tires on their Accords? I need a really good all season tire and want the tire to do well in the wet; my Michelins are scary on damp pavement.

I've got an 03 Accord EX 4 cyl.

Best tire I've ever put on. I've used strictly summer tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, among others) and strictly winter tires (Blizzaks), but this tire amazes me more than any other. I have no problem accelerating in 6 inches of wet snow (the slush grip is much better than most winter tires because of the tread pattern), and winter grip is amazingly just as good (if not better sometimes) than winter tires I've had on. These things don't disappoint in reflexes, steering feel or handling either - they're far better than the Yokohama AVS ES100's I once sampled (terrible tires), and are in the same league with the Eagles, SP9000s and Potenza S-03s until you push it past 7/10s. It amazes me still how well they blend handling, wet traction, snow traction, road comfort, steering feel, and noise. I have about 35k miles on them.

Plus they're tirerack's #1 rated all seasonal tire.

You will find a discussion here from someone who purchased the TripleTreds:

That's not very 'detailed', and links to other forums are not allowed. Thank you.

I'm sorry if this doen't meet your personal standards. I found it helpful in my tire analysis and I thought it might help this thread starter, too.

Why exactly is that? Are we afraid our members might get too much information? Or perhaps we have some sort of inferiority complex?

I belong to 8 other forums and none of them restrict cross-postings. What is the problem here?

Perhaps you could direct me to the section in the "Terms of Service" that expressly prohibits links to other forums? I would like to understand this position better.

It's been moderator policy for as long as I can remember. But I resigned from being a mod over a year ago, so maybe it's changed. Some Honda forums actually censor links to other forums, but we don't do that. Linking to technical articles posted elsewhere is fine, but that's not a tech article (nor did it really have any useful information for the poster in it). No need to get all pissy about it, sheesh.

The triple treads are an awesome tire overall. Good snow, ice, rain, and dry tire. I live in Michigan and have triples treads on my 01 CRV AWD and my 96 Accord LX. I do not have a complaint about these tires what soever.

The question was: "Just wondering if anyone has used these tires on their Accords?"

My response answered that question by referring them to feedback from someone who had purchased these tires. If it helped the thread starter, that's what matters. Your opinion is inconsequential.

Again, please direct me to "moderator policy" so I can be sure not to violate it in the future. And if it is not site policy, please don't represent it as if it is.

From the "actual" Terms of Service for this site:

"To the extent that anyone is capable of contributing to these discussions and conducting himself/herself in a polite and respectful manner while adhering to the rules of the forums, everyone is encouraged to participate..."

and

"...Participants will conduct themselves according to the highest standards of sportsmanship and will maintain a respectful demeanour in their conversations"

Perhaps I didn't feel that your response was falling under the category of 'polite" and "respectful", or maybe I was influenced by some of your recent interchanges in other threads. Regardless, I have found you to be a knowledgeable and helpful member of this forum, but I think it is appropriate to point out when you may have overstepped your bounds.
