Here I go again....Chiltons manual will give you a diagram of all of your hoses and lines. You should have NOTHING lose or just laying around. Everything should be either connected or capped off. S4GUNN make a good point....sometimes adding something can cause poor performance if not done properly. I have an AEM cold air intake and everything is accounted for. OK, I cheated and had a certified trained Honda Factory Mechanic do it. Not everybody can have it done by a pro...but having the Chilton book for a reference helps (when time permits I do other things myself).

Thanks for the correction. I should have stated, "EGR CONTROL Solenoid valve".

I was chatting about this with some friends and their comment is that the EGR helps emissions at the expense of performance so having it disconnected isn't so bad if your emissions are good enough to pass. The performance hit that may occur is if at some point the ECU is sending some of the exhaust gases into the air+gas mixture but what arrives into the combustion chamber is air+gas only -- not air+gas+exhaust.

Talk to a tech about how the EGR system is supposed to work. You may be okay but you may be hindering the ECUs operation.
