Transmissions don't generate check engine lights.

I'll place money on something more engine related, the list could very.
EGR, fuel pump? Bad gas?

I have a 94 Ex Automatic that just cost me $3000 to get rebuilt. It kept slipping really bad especially when shifting between gears. Having 17s doesn't mean crap when it comes to that type of tranny roblem or any tranny problem for that matter. The transmission def shouldn't cause a check engine light either. Also A Honda Dealership really doesn't like to work on transmissions and they will charge you like crazy to even look at it. Change your fluid and sell it

Or Have honda look at it but have them look at it in a more engine related way

"I have a 94 Ex Automatic that just cost me $3000 to get rebuilt."

Yeah, thats what they go for; my 99 V-6 needs a rebuilt Honda tranny and its costing nearly 4 grand but insurance is going to cover this for us with a $250 deductible we need to pay.

"Having 17s doesn't mean crap when it comes to that type of tranny roblem or any tranny problem for that matter."

Absolutely agreed; I dont know who told this kid that the SIZE OF THE RIMS are affecting the transmission of the car, but that moron needs to be shot....

"A Honda Dealership really doesn't like to work on transmissions and they will charge you like crazy to even look at it."

Not necessarily true; the dealership in Vegas where I took my car didnt charge me ANYTHING for one of their mechanics to test drive the car and come up with the conclusion that my tranny is definitely shot. And THEY are the ones that are going to be putting in this refurbished tranny for me.
