Default just bought an 05

Hello everybody, I just bought a new 05 honda accord coupe ex v6 w/ 6speed manual.

Im impressed. This car really flies. I did a search on the net for 0-60 times and compared my car to others.

5.9 0-60 and 14.9 1/4 mile.

very few other cars were faster. Except for the exotic cars like ferraris and porsches and the like. The subura turbo models are faster and of course the mighty mustang gt. but onkly by 0.5 secs, but the handling of the mustang stinks I had one.

I am interested in finding out if there are any cumputer mods available?

I see that there are cat back systems and cai around and I will be looking into those shortly.

As far as price I think I did really well
Supposedly I paid invoice of 24,700 plus I added the rear wing for 750 installed for a total of 25,250. The car is loaded heated seats, leather, xm radio, sun roof, 6 speed, sport tuned suspension, power windows, alarm.
My wife had an 01 ex v6 loaded and we paid 26k and change and now she drives a pilot. love the honda great car.

They added the mud flaps and a bra for no extra charge but I had them put the bra in the trunk. Bras tend to do more harm than good. I would consider putting the bra back on if I add the clear bra under neath first. I like the look of the bra it brakes up the hood a bit but can really wear the paint.

Any suggestions on computer mods that really work?

Oh, does this car have a MAF or does it use air density?

well hello and I'm looking forward to reading the posts and learning

I believe your car uses MAF. My shitty J30 and the J32 in the 99 and 00 TL didn't have it, but starting with the 01 (or maybe it was 00) TL and the 04 V6 Accord Honda smartened up and put this relatively cheap technology on the engine. Of course the 4 banger had it all along.

There are no retuned ECUs for your car, yet. Unichip is the only source for those (besides the fraudulent ebay ones) for the V6 Hondas, and they do not have one for the 7th gen Accord yet.

I would really suggest a clear bra if you drive on the highway - after 186k mostly highway miles, my front bumper and lower front hood is a mess with small stone chips and dings. I wish I had gotten one long ago. Enjoy your new car, and welcome to HAN If you really want to find out about your car and have $100, but the Helms manuals from www.helminc.com. They're the factory service manuals that Honda gives their technicians, and are filled with tons of info. There are many pages that describe in detail all of the special components of the engine with words and diagrams - the EGR, PCV, transmission, etc. Not to mention it tells you how to fix anything so you don't have to get raped at the dealer every 7500 miles.
