Default 1994 Accord Drive Axle Change

I'll be changing both of my drive axles tomorrow and I want to know if I'll need to drain the tranny fuid to change the axles? I've heard that it's not needed but the helms manual states that it needs to be drained. So should I drain the tanny fluid or not?

I did them on my buddy's 5th gen, you need to drain the fluid. I guess you don't NEED to, but it'll probably be a mess and hard to control if you don't haha. If you are changing the LEFT shaft only, and there is an intermediate shaft, then you don't need to drain it.

You don't need to drain it. If the car is not perfectly level or if it is overfilled it might leak a bit. It shouldnt be above the output seals anyway.
