Default accord 6-disc changer

Hi,
I own a 99 accord and just got a stock 6-disc changer deck from an accord EX. I hooked up everything and it all seems to work just fine. But when I go and try to load a cd, I can't. There seems to be something right in the middle of the slot blocking any cd from going in. I tried pushing the load button and even ejecting just in case there were cds already in there.
Is there a special way to load cds into the 6-disc changer deck? Or is my deck just broken?
I appreciate any help you can give me.

If you don't get any error codes from the player, you'll have to take it apart I guess. Maybe there's a jammed CD in there.

Edit: And obviously, you press the 'load' button to load CDs, but I imagine you knew that. There are instructions on the screen and a color changing, blinking LED to also guide you.

See if you can get the manual for it. That will help a lot. Also, a honda dealer can help. If not, ask if they know who does work on their units. I took a 6 disc changer I got off of ebay and had it "professionally" installed (I didn't have the time) and after they put the stupid thing in the console they realized the cassette was "stuck". The Honda dealer pointed me to a repair facility. I ended up buying a 12 disc aftermarket changer and when I had it installed at a "real" shop his installer popped the cassette out from the honda deck but left it in the console (I'll take it out later and then resell it on ebay).

Didn't have the time to pop off 8 screws and change two plugs? You're a busy guy How much did they charge you?

If you have an error code I can help you, or someone else can. If not it's gotta be a jammed CD. I'm shocked it wouldn't have an error code for that though.

Less than I make in an hour. Today I can afford to tinker with stuff or just pay someone and not be bothered with it.

Oh, and 98CoupeV6 is right, there should be some sort of error code coming up on the screen. It should be an easy fix to get the CD out IF they know what they are doing. In my case it cost nothing (hehe) to get my cassette out. However, my CD changer requires the removal of the entire center console. Good luck!
