Default ABS light on 1996 Accord EX

The ABS light is on so I took it to Autozone and it came up with no errors. How can I read the ABS error?I guess the stuff they have at Autozone only reads CELs?
By the way,the ABS reservoir is full with fluid so it's not it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

There should be a connector under the glovebox somewhere. I don't have a '96 so search for the procedure for checking ECU error codes. You jumper that with a paperclip & watch the ABS light flash. If there's any CEL codes, the CEL will flash too.

One long flash & long pause - that's not the code yet.
Quick flashes for the first digit, short pause, quick flashes for the 2nd digit.
Long pause, then the next code (if there's more than one).

This code list is for '94-'97 Integra, but I think it's the same for your '96 Accord.
1 - ABS pump motor over-run
1 2 ABS pump motor
1 3 high pressure leakage
1 4 pressure switch
1 8 high pressure system
2 1 parking brake
3 1 pulser RF
3 2 pulser LF
3 4 pulser RR
3 8 pulser LR
3 12 different diameter tires
4 1 wheel sensor RF
4 2 wheel sensor LF
4 4 wheel sensor RR
4 8 wheel sensor LR
5 - rear wheel lock - R/L
5 4 rear wheel lock - R
5 8 rear wheel lock - L
6 - fail-safe relay - F/R
6 1 fail-safe relay - F
6 4 fail-safe relay - R
7 1 solenoid - RF
7 2 solenoid - LF
7 4 solenoid - R
8 1 ABS function
8 2 CPU comparison
8 4 IC self-check

Thanks for the detailed response. The plug for the OBD thing is behind the ashtray. That's what you are talking about, right?
I will look online to see how to do the "jumping".
Also,is there a link that will show with details, how to bleed the ABS or it's not needed?
Thanks again.

He said the resevoir is full. Take it to a dealer and have them use their HDS.

Do they charge to run the diagnostics?

Generally yes they charge, my dealer is like 60bucks for a diagnostic, but that's cheaper than most other places, and they seem to get it right all the time, not like other mechanics i've brought it to.

It's not the many-pin OBD-2 plug. There's a 2-pin plug, probably blue plastic. That's the plug you would use on an older (up to '95) car. I think OBD-2 5th-gen Accords still had that plug.

I thought there was a sticky thread with this, but I can't find it right now...
