There should be a connector under the glovebox somewhere. I don't have a '96 so search for the procedure for checking ECU error codes. You jumper that with a paperclip & watch the ABS light flash. If there's any CEL codes, the CEL will flash too.

One long flash & long pause - that's not the code yet.
Quick flashes for the first digit, short pause, quick flashes for the 2nd digit.
Long pause, then the next code (if there's more than one).

This code list is for '94-'97 Integra, but I think it's the same for your '96 Accord.
