Default accord vs. prelude transmission

are 90-93 accord 5 spd tranny's the same tranny as a 92-96 prelude. im not talking fitment i mean fitment should be the same but im talking about performance. does the prelude tranny have a better gear ratio or are they better in general. thanx

Default yes and no

if you are referring to the f22 prelude trans it is the same as the f22 trans. the h23 trans has slightly less gear ratios, and the h22 has even lower gear ratios. the h23 and the h22 will help with acceleration, but will hurt you when it comes to gas mileage. i have a 90 accord with h22a engine and lsd h22 trans and i love the h22 lsd trans. hope this helps you out.

Accord transmission at 80MPH - 3K
Prelude (H22/H23) at 80MPH - 4K

You do the math on gas milage.
