Default AC not cool enough, stops cooling

My AC cools off for a few minutes and then air starst coming out hot. The compressor apparently keeps running, though. After a while, cold air starts to blow again. If I run the AC at max. power, it keeps blowing cold air all the time, although the air is not cold enough.

I took the car to the dealer and was told that "the coolant level is low on the high pressure system" and got an estimate of $170 just to add dye and determine where the leak is. However, I measured the coolant level (on the low pressure side) and it reads at normal level.

Can anyone advise what to do? I cannot top off the coolant level since it is full already! One more piece of information, when I turn off the car I can hear water flowing in the blower (under dash on passenger side).

Thanks for your help! I can't stand this HEAT anymore. I am in FLORIDA by the way...

I think the compressor has a timer or thermostat the cycles it on and off. It could be the thermostat is going bad and not keeping the compressor on.

same things going on with mine, i got the same model as yours, but it overheats when i blast it, no clue why, i just put in new freeon also, my buddy says that it is probably a a/c switch in the engine bay and the radiator that i need to mess with. my brother in law fixed it for him just recently and told him that. long story, in-laws a honda tech freak! well good luck man!!!
