how do you pull out the center dash?
I'm thinking of trying to switch my center dash lights to blue somehow, and right now I just want to look behind it, but I can't figure out how~
how difficult is it?

wedge a flathead with a towel over the tip under your clock and push downward on the screwdriver so it pops your clock up, pull it out. unlatch it from the wire harness as well as the harness for the emergency flashers. unscrew the bolt behind with a long, magnetic phillipshead screwdriver.
unscrew the bottom two near your tray with a stubby phillipshead screwdriver. lift from there upward and outward, you will hear the snaps of the two retaining clips from the top. remove gently. unhook the two wire harnesses from your climate control unit. one of them may need the help of a flathead screwdriver near the removal tab. it'll make it much easier.
now you have the face off and you can take the rest apart however you want.

you might think how kimistry's changing his dash lights to blue is "ricey," but someone out there, most likely most of our dads, think you, and all of us, are idiots for even modifying your car at all (as well as ourselves). They think we're all idiots for doing anything besides keeping it stock.
Thanks jon for the info.
I managed to finally pull out the center dash. There were two clips at the top, two on the sides, and one at the bottom.
unfortunately, two of my clips fell off while i was pullin them out and fell into the hole. is there a way to get them out? or am I SOL? they wont be makin ne rattlin noises in there rite?

whenever something falls into the black hole abyss or the engine compartment as well, I ALWAYS get it out. i don't know what the hell could be happening in there so i waste the extra 15 minutes to search through and find it. don't worry, it'll be worth your time and you can sleep easy.
if you can't see it with a flashlight, then consider getting the extendable magnet. you can find them at any auto store. it's just a telescoping magnetic rod that can pick up tools or any metal near it like screws. works great. try it out sometime, you'll have a lot of fun.
