Default 17's and a lowered 98 coupe.

I lowered my 98 Accord I4 coupe with H and R sport springs and Tokico 5 way adjustable shocks. I was wondering if I put on 17's will the ride be HARSH? I was told that 16's would be better, but I haven't found any 16's that I like.
PLEASE ADVISE!!!!

17s will be fine, and they will look a lot better than 16s

I have my 94 on tokico illuminas (5way adjust) and H&R sprint springs with 17s. Ride is not too harsh. Plus if you get 16s and the ride is better, its just cause you have more rubber between you and the road. Rubber doesnt translate feel very well, and I like knowing exactly whats going on when I take a turn. Sure the ride with 17s will be rougher, but the setup just feels like its on rails... its amazing. Just makes sure if you do get wheels (especially 17s) that you get the lightest you can afford. Unsprung weight management is just as critical as what springs and struts you have, or what kind of camber you want to work with.

Oh yeah, and 17s look worlds better.

I've got a 1998 Accord V6 Coupe lowered on Eibach Sportline springs and Tokico struts, with 17" Konigs. The ride is great and the 17s really look a hell of a lot better. Just make sure you get quality, light-weight rims and good tires. The toyos I have do a good job of dampening the ride to an acceptable level of smoothness. Plus, with the lower profile tires, it's easier to "feel" the road and makes driving more involved and enjoyable.

I drive around the crappy New England roads with 17s, and its enough cushion that you won't have to worry about dinging a rim. just don't drive thru a monster pot hole and you'll be fine.

I originally wanted 18's but I've seen, felt and heard horror stories about those. Like everyone else, I too ride on 17's and the ride is pretty nice, especially in Boston where pot holes are as rampant as bad drivers. I've already hit a few decent pot holes and no damage. Koni yellows with Eibach prokits. Love the ride.

17s are good if the roads in your area are crappy.

to me 18s look best on the 6th gens but the road conditions are a major consideration. my sister has 18s on her coupe with koni sp3s and pro-kits and the ride is very smooth, not harsh at all. but that's on the nicer roads out here.
