I ordered eibach sway bars for my 2000 accord EX sedan...does anybody know if the front stock sway bar is under, or over the frame?

I am not sure about 2000, but on 2003 it is over the frame. Put Neuspeed on about 2 months ago and it was a bitch to work on.

It's under the frame on the 98-02, it's actually a sub frame, the middle of the bar bolts on behind the front axle line(s). The bar is held in place on the ends with endlinks (smart name) and in the middle with rubber bushings.

Good luck getting the endlinks off the front lower control arms, I had to have Honda cut mine off. I didn't have a socket wrench that would allow me to remove the nut and still fix the end link rod with an allen key. I was actually bending allen keys so even if I had the mystical socket I was a bit hosed during my install.

Like others have said stick your head under the car would ya?!

the reason i asked here is because i was in my pajama's, it was the middle of the night, and i didn't feel like finding a flashlight then getting on my back to peek under my low ass car. i was wondering so i thought i'd ask. if you dont know or dont want to answer, just read the thread and keep rolling. if i felt like looking under the car i would have done it.

Hey, don't flame my @$$ I gave you the answer. Unlike many technical question on this forum looking under your car isn't what I would call difficult.

This is what I tried to tell you. On the rear you hold the nut with an open end wrench\box head or crow foot head on a socket. To keep the endlink from spinning you use an allen key in the threaded body, this is why you need a wrench not a socket.

However, You would need a crowfoot socket head or similiar part to get down into the front nuts of the endlinks in the lower A-arms. I didn't have one, my threads also rusted up bad, so the dealer had to cut mine off at the a-arms and then installed new ones, they are cheap enough.

I would also install new rear endlinks if I were you too, Honda has a TSB and new rear endlinks for all 98+ Accords, TSX uses the same endlink so I figure it would need them too at some point. I have yet to replace my rear links.
