stereo question

i installed a stereo in my 2000 accord using an adaptor from crutchfield. after i installed everything i noticed my clock did not light up with the lights on. i've checked the bulb and its good, any ideas?

Is the illumination lead disconnected to the clock? What is the adapter for?

That happened to mine. Then came back on, then went off, etc haha. It's pretty common knowledge that the clock light is very touchy.
