i have the same set up as you.i had a similar problem, it could be the wiring of the msd. thats what it was for me. like when you go and it gets around 4200 to 4500 it kinda like staws a bit or some sorts. well anyway check the wiringof msd.

heres the scoop that was happening with me. like i said before i have pretty much the same set up. when i hit those rpms the car would stutter. only when cold though. another problem i was having was when the car was cold it would not crank up. the motor would turn but nothing. i took to my mechanic and he said it was the msd wiring. i was like nahhhh cant be. anyway i left the car with him and when i returned to get it it was cranking fine and rev up fine. i asked him what was done and he said he put the old coil back. told me to bring the car back in a couple days when he has time so he could set the msd set up correctlty. but yeah he said when he took the msd ignition cap off (the part where the spark plug wires connect) that it was all smoked out. so all in all the connection was ghetto rigged. that was my problem.

thats exactly what was happening to me. the thing is its going to get worse and worse starting the car. like i said check your msd distributer wiring.you could put the old one back to see if the problem continues. then you'll know for sure. its pretty simple.

i bet its that but if its not you have to start with the basics. get the battery -starter-alternater checked. check your relays, battery terminals, stuff like that.
