Default Help!

ok, heres the deal, I'm new to the whole import game, Ive added exhaust and an air intake to my accord, also fooled the IAT with a 4700 ohm resistor into thinking its under load, what else can I do to gain more HP? Keep it reasonable as I am a working family man.Thanx

It would help to know a little more about the car (what year, stick or auto, what kind of intake and exhaust etc.) and by the way welcome to the site.

If your trying to keep it on the affordable side simple bolt ons wont net you to much HP maybe you should add a header. Look into a turbo if you want some serious power. In the first post you said you had an intake and in the third on you said its stock (confused)

I'm getting quite confused here.

Short Ram Intakes (SRI) swap the stock airbox with a cone filter. These are great investments because a cone filter is washable thoughout the life time of the car. The gains are minimal towards the middle/upper powerband. The cone filter still resides under the hood.

Cold Air Intakes (CAI) is just like an SRI, but relocates the airfilter outside of the engine bay to grab the coolest air possible. (Cold air = HP)Typically, a CAI hides the airfilter behind the frontbumper, infront of the wheel well.

Since a CAI is closer to the ground, you run a risk of sucking water into your engine block, this is known as "hydrolocking". If you live in an area where winters are brutal or springs are rain prone, you should stick with an SRI or go with the CAI breather valve.

and never go "cheap". You might save $20, but you're playing with a $15,000 car. Save up and get quality parts.

well I hope your not expecting similar power out of that accord as to what your HEMI pumps out.

If you want noticeable power gains than you should go with nitrious.
Its less expensive than getting a Turbo kit.

Simple bolt on's arent going to yield a significant increase.

Doesnt nitrous tear up the engine though? Ive also heard that supercharging may be an option, and no, no matter what I do without adding more money than I could ever get, I'll never match my hemi.

well, any high producing horepower thing will add wear to the engine but the main question will be...how much?
