Ten years after the SRS is installed it must be checked out. I am not sure if the light comes on or not for this check. On my 95 accord the light came on, I took it to the dealer, they removed the light, I don't rember the cost.

I have the same problem with my SRS light. I noticed that when my fat ass ex wife sat on the seat one day the yellow light came on. She looked at the seat and the red light has been on ever since. Really, I think she crushed the sensor in the seat because after she sat on it and it went red, it went off and then it would only go yellow when weight was placed on the passenger seat. Now it is always red!
Same with the dealer, not sure what to do but the diagnosis would cost a lot of money. What to do? I think it is the connector beneath the seat, check there for binding or loose connections.
I'll keep an eye on this post.

on cars with the side airbags theres sensors built into the seat cushions ,the yellow light comes on when your in the path blocking safe deployment of the side airbag such as being to close to the door. you can read the code and reset the srs computer and see if it comes back on again

I don't know what's the problem with it. I heard of it will be very expensive to fix it. But I am just a student, I am afraid I cannot afford much money to repair a used car.

Please help me or give me a suggestion, if you can. Thank you very much!

It's possible it could be a fuse or the battery is to weak to power the airbag. I haven't attempted to fix it yet, so i can't better help you.
