Default Stock wheels vs. CL-S

I have a three point question about wheels here I was hoping you guys could help with.
1. What is the size wheels do I have of my completely stock 98 V6 Accord? They seem to measure between 15 & 16 inches.
2. I am not very impressed at all with its cornering. Feels like the tires roll too much. Would getting 17 inch wheels help greatly with this?
3. How much typically would I expect to need to pay for some Acura CL-S wheels? I think they look classy as hell on some of the cars I have seen on here.

1) The 6th gen Accord (98-02) V6 has two sets of 5 lug wheels.
a. 205/65/15 with a 15x6 inch wheel (V6 Sedan)
b. 205/60/16 with a 16x6.5 inch wheel (V6 Coupe)

2) In order to improve the handling of the car, you would have to go with a stiffer suspension set up. Changing the tires would help a little, but not much. If you get 17in wheels, your tire size will probably be 205/50/17 or 215/45/17 or 225/40/17. Of course the wider the tire & the smaller the profile the the less roll you will have on the tire. Thus, better performance. But that's only on the tires. To increase the performance, you'll have to lower the center of gravity of the car( Lowering springs/shocks OR Coilovers)

3) That I CANNOT help you with. I'm sure the prices would vary from a dealers cost, to getting a set from a junk yard to finding someone who is looking to get rid of theirs. Sorry

Thank you for the reply. I have the 4 Door. Looks like it isn't worth it after all. They do look sharp though. My stockers have all lost some of the clear-coat as well which is unfortunate. Don't know what the first owners did to get this.

You can get 17's and have a little better performance. But the downside is having that huge gap between the tire and the fender. That's another reason why people lower their cars.

the majority of people would say suspension upgrade before a plus-size wheel upgrade. like blackknight said, there's visually a huge gap (in reality it's the same gap as stock if you get the right size tires) and it looks awful.

16in on the LX and EX models.

Not these wheels. I have them and they're MUCH heavier than the stock rims. This changes how the car turns, but it's nothing you can't get used to. If you want a tighter turn, you'll have to look into upgrading your suspension parts.

Look into TL-S swaybars and strut towerbar for a nice upgrade. The stock Accord bar is around 15mm, the 03 TL-S is about 22. The 04 TL's is around 24 and will also fit.

I got mine for $400 with rubber, but they needed repair. A fair price for a perfect set is $600 shipped. $125 + 25 shipping per rim.

Any of you guys have an idea why the clear-coat is messed up on all these wheels. Maybe they got wet when really hot?

My only guess is that the previous owner used some type of harsh chemical to clean the wheels.
A lot of people use engine brite to clean wheels. Or some type of strong wheel cleaner.

Personally, I only use soap and water for my stock or aftermarket wheels.

If you keep them clean enough, you won't have to use harsh chemicals

if you like that style, eagle alloys make a duplicate wheel (cl-s i think)...

you you can get down to a 45 aspect ratio with stiffer sidewalls for better performance; also get better quality tires that fits your needs. better shocks and springs too? the stock type s front strut bar and rear sways will drop right in.

since the stockers are in bad shape, you can strip the finish off and get them polished for a slightly different look. maybe $100-150 for the set of 4.
