No if it was the VSS the check engine light would be on. If the oddometer doesn't count its the speedo itself thats bad. Is it stuck on 999 on the trip meter by any chance?

mine gets stuck every once and again, I just reset the maintencace switch and it starts counting again...

 

odometer almost never moves,if so very rarely,the speedo works and the trip meter works fine.I'll give the maintenence switch a shot.any other ideas?

 

take off ur cluster and jut try and move it manually...sometimes it gets stuck...mine was stuck on exactly 90,000 and when i went to put my gauges on i tried ot move it and then it worked...same thing happened to a few people i know and when we did that it always fixed it
