Default Belt Tension

Ok here is a really stupid newbie question. how the hell do i get off my belts?! i got a new alternator and i've been trying for the past long time to get the friggin belt off of it so i can get my new one in there. excuse my stupidity but can someone explain it to me?

ok..get a wrench set and just start loosening every bolt you see. Hopefully the belts will fall off before the engine falls to the ground.

Do you have a manual of any sort? If youd ont you dont belong working on your car. Plain and simple. Hopefully you have one!

there are tensioners on each accessory... you have to loosen the bolts on what you are going to remove, with that done, the alternator will "slide" and the belt will loosen...

you dont need a manual to change an alternator... just reverse the removal procedure to get it back on. To tighten the belt, you may want to use a pry bar... and push on the alternator while you tighten the tensioner bolt.

use a bar and push on the supporting rotator forward. it will cause the belt to loosen up

what about putting the belt back on? what is the best order to put the belt on... what pulley first and what pulley last? thanks
